They are dedicated and available to serve you, the local communities, and the neighborhoods with their best professional knowledge and skills.

Dr. Lawrence Lai
Dr. Lawrence Lai obtained his Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree, with First Class Honors in Microbiology and Immunology at McGill University in 1995. His interest in interacting with people at a more personal level has driven him to pursue a career in health care. He then entered the internationally prestigious Faculty of Dentistry at McGill University. During the four-year studies in dentistry at McGill, he was granted with numerous designations. In 1998, he was one of the only three students in the class granted with the Dean's Honor List. Attaining the highest score in one of the important disciplines of the curriculum, he was granted the Dr. Bushell Award in 1999. Then in his graduation year, he was awarded the Dr. Gerald Racey Prize for his excellent achievement in oral and maxillo-facial surgery with clinical training at the Montreal General Hospital.
Following graduation, Dr. Lai was selected to serve as one of the four general practice residents (G.P.R.) at Hartford Hospital, Connecticut, USA. Hartford Hospital is one of the few Level One Trauma hospital centers in the northeastern states of USA, including highly populated New York State, Massachusetts, Connecticut, Pennsylvania, and New Jersey. This elective training enabled Dr. Lai to gain additional experience in advanced techniques of oral pathology and surgery, wisdom teeth extraction, and root canal therapy. In addition to treating patients in the department of dentistry of the hospital, Dr. Lai also carried out his duty as an OMFS (oral and maxillo-facial surgery) resident on-call in the E.R. (emergency room) on a frequent regular basis. Hence, he has had the opportunity in dealing with motor vehicle accidents and other emergency cases resulting in dento-facial traumas. Providing comprehensive dental care to the medically compromised patients such as patients with cancer, liver, heart, and kidney disease was also a routine duty during Dr. Lai's training in the hospital.
Following the hospital training, he moved to Calgary to start his general practice. Dr. Lai wrote the Canadian and American National Dental Board Examinations with both scores in the top 5% percentile as compared to all the dentists writing the same examinations in North America in that year. Currently, Dr Lai is licensed to practise dentistry under College of Dental Surgeons of British Columbia and Alberta Dental Association and College. He is also a member of the BC Dental Association, the Canadian Dental Association, and the Academy of General Dentistry, International Congress of Oral Implantology, and American Academy of Implant Dentistry. He has just been awarded a Fellowship status of the International Congress of Oral Implantology. Dr. Lai continues to update his dental training by regularly attending the national and international dental conferences annually.
